2017 Racial Justice Scholarship Award

YWCA Greenwich will award two $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who live and attend school in Greenwich . . . and who have made a special effort to encourage people to respect differences, to promote equality and to eliminate all forms of bigotry, bias and racism in their school or our community.  Candidates may be nominated by a member of the faculty of any Greenwich high school or by the general public.

YWCA has doubled the size of the annual scholarship, given the importance of this topic to the YWCA and the community.

The application can be found here.  The application needs to be returned no later than April 7.  The award will be presented at the Stand Against Racism event at Town Hall on Friday, April 28.  The recipients must be able to attend the event, which takes place from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
