Nominations are being accepted for YWCA Greenwich Racial Justice Scholarship Awards
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
Celebrating the life and teachings of one of America’s most respected champions of racial justice.
The Dr. King Celebration is a free, community wide event that honors the civil rights activist, awards YWCA Racial Justice Scholarships to High School Seniors who have encouraged diversity and presents a racial justice-themed art exhibit. Partners include Whole Foods, DiMare’s Pastry Shop and Cosi Restaurant in Greenwich, and Costco in Port Chester.

2012 YWCA Racial Justice Scholarship recipients are Brittanie Sanders, Convent of the Sacred Heart, and Edward Chapin, the Brunswick School.
