Greenwich Takes A Stand Against Racism

YWCA Greenwich’s annual Stand Against Racism event drew more than 50 people including representatives from the town’s government, the Boys and Girls Club, the Police Department and the Anti-Defamation League.
“We are here to raise awareness about institutional and structural racism and build a stronger community among us in fighting against that racism,” YWCA Greenwich President and CEO Mary Lee Kiernan said.
At the event, YWCA Greenwich gave three $1,000 scholarships, to high school students who have demonstrated a commitment to fighting racism in all of its forms.
