The Ailey Extension… one of the great names in modern dance, comes to YWCA Greenwich. Hailed as “cultural ambassador to the world” by the U.S. Congress, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater had its first, official residence at the YWCA New York City in 1960. Now, the YWCA is proud to bring the Ailey dance experience to Greenwich.
The YWCA Children’s Dance Program for ages 3 to 18 is led by Kendall Moran who has taught ballet at the YWCA for more than a decade. She trained with many renowned teachers from the London Royal Ballet, Steps Studio, and the Broadway Dance Center.

Class levels begin with PreBallet for 3- to 4-year-olds and run through Ballet 111/Pointe for ages 12 to 18.

Mommy and Me Dance… for moms and children 15 to 24 months, is a fun way for parent and toddler to connect.
Kate Truesdell Greenwich Dance Studio, founded in 2004  offers classes for children ages 3 to 18 in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz and Hip-Hop. Classes end the year with a studio-wide Spring Performance held at The Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase College. Greenwich Dance Studio’s mission is to provide students with an education in dance and to nurture a love for the arts.
