Our Mission

YWCA Greenwich is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and girls,

and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

For 98 years, YWCA Greenwich has been making a difference in the lives of families, spanning babies to seniors.  We serve the community by providing a state-certified and highly regarded preschool and after-school program, summer camp, a recreational and competitive aquatics program, a highly respected gymnastics program, a fitness center well-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and personal trainers, many group exercise classes for all age groups and other seasonal sports activities.

We fulfill our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and girls, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all by being the sole licensed and accredited provider of free domestic abuse services in Greenwich for close to 35 years; conducting onsite seminars, implementing educational programs in schools and collaborating with community organizations in mission-focused programs.

Founded in 1919, YWCA Greenwich offers more than 125 programs and continually strives to exceed the changing needs of the people we serve.
