Sue Cavataro joined the YWCA Greenwich staff in 2003. Since then, she has worked as a personal trainer, spin instructor and with the YWCA Dolphins’ swim team as a strength and conditioning coach. A twenty-five year fitness veteran, Sue earned her Masters in Exercise Physiology at Adelphi University. Sue completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY-Cortland, where she majored in Physical Education and competed on the school’s volleyball team. Outside of her work, Sue competes in half-marathons and triathlons.

Ty Griese has been a personal trainer at the YWCA Greenwich since 2008. He has taught Yoga and T'ai Chi for more than twenty years as well as courses on  relaxation techniques for the past decade. Ty earned an Associate’s Degree in Exercise Science from Norwalk Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Duke University and a Masters of Education in Adapted Physical Education from Springfield College. He received his personal training certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Grounded in body-mind techniques, he has worked with college students, cancer survivors, chronic-pain sufferers and individuals with special needs. Ty also currently oversees the Wellness Center, group exercise classes and community wellness at Norwalk Community College.

Beth Hammond is a certified American College of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer, and active member.  She is also currently pursuing an Exercise Science Associate’s Degree. CPR,First and AID/AED certified, Beth enjoys working with all age clients from healthy individuals to those with medically controlled diseases to maintain a healthy lifestyle. With a background in the performing arts as well as competitive sports, she has experience with sports specific training, weight loss and injury prevention. Her main focus is to help clients hit their fitness goals and motivate them to go beyond their exercise comfort zone to achieve optimum results.

Shree Mickelson specializes in personal training and group exercise at the YW. She trained at the American Council of Exercise, where she also earned her personal training certificate. Shree, a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, often incorporates Yoga methods into her client’s workouts. Understanding the link between physical activity, health and well-being, Shree is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles by providing safe exercise programs that meet her clients’ fitness goals. She is a certified EMT and volunteer with Greenwich Emergency Medical Services.

Brendan Stote joined the YWCA staff in 2009 after earning his personal training license through Expert Rating. Brendan got started in fitness at age eight as a student of the martial arts. Brendan implements a combination of weight training and aerobics to help his clients, ranging from NFL players to senior citizens, reach their highest potential.When he is not working with his clients, Brendan trains extensively for martial arts and power-lifting competitions. His honors include becoming the youngest inductee to the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2006. Brendan also holds state, national and multiple world records for power-lifting in the 308-lb division. His diverse fitness background has made Brendan passionate about helping clients of all sizes, ages and athletic abilities.
