Teen Suicide: YWCA Greenwich Panel Talks Says Use ’13 Reasons Why’ to Start Conversation

GREENWICH FREE PRESS 19.JUNE.2017:  YWCA Greenwich recently held an event centered around the controversial Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

The event discussed ways to talk about the show’s content as a starting point to a broader conversation parents can have with their children about tough issues that come up in the series.

The discussion emphasized that the series could be a good opportunity to engage teens in talking about topics like romantic relationships, friendships, cyberbullying, sexual consent, how to help a friend who is in crisis, and suicide prevention.
