8/1/2017 — YWCA Greenwich announced today that Kathleen M. Seiden will become the organization’s new Chief Advancement Officer effective immediately.
“We are so pleased to have Kathy join YWCA Greenwich,” said Mary Lee Kiernan, President and CEO. “She brings an excellent understanding and commitment to the Greenwich community through years of work at local non-profits.”
Most recently, Ms. Seiden was Vice President of Development and Communications at the Family & Children’s Agency in Norwalk, CT. Prior to that, she was Director of Development at the Boys & Girls Club (BGC) of Greenwich where she was responsible for all fundraising efforts to sustain the organization’s operating budget. During that time, she worked with the BGC Board to create the strategy and execute BGC’s annual fundraising events and new initiatives, expanded individual philanthropy and was a key member of the team that created the outstanding celebration of BGC’s 100th anniversary.
Ms. Seiden also provided development consultation to Greenwich Land Trust to increase overall fundraising during their move to the Louise Mueller Preserve and change in leadership.
“I’ve been very fortunate to have a career in the non-profit sector in such a special community” said Ms. Seiden. “I’m very excited to join the YWCA and to support its mission to eliminate racism and empower women and girls.”
