Our Mission

Empowering Our Community through Education, Youth Sports, & Afterschool Programs

For 100 years, YWCA Greenwich has been helping to make a difference in the lives of families in the Greenwich, CT area. Founded in 1919, today, YWCA Greenwich offers more than 125 programs and continually strives to exceed the changing needs of the people we serve.

From babies to seniors, we proudly offer programs suited for all ages. Whether you or your family is interested in our state-certified and highly regarded preschool education or looking to participate in one of our after-school programs or summer camps, our facility is well-equipped to serve the needs of our community. Featuring a state-of-the-art fitness center, equipment, and indoor swimming pool, in addition to our youth sport programs, we also offer an aquatics program which includes adult and youth swim lessons. Our recreational fitness classes include a highly respected gymnastics program, as well as a variety of group exercise classes for all age groups, seasonal sports activities, personal trainers, and more.

Dedicated to our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and girls, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all, we provide a wide range of domestic abuse services. As the only designated and accredited provider of free domestic abuse services in Greenwich, CT for more than 35 years, we strive to create a safe space for those seeking individual counseling and divorce support groups. We fulfill our mission through community education programs and seminars and often collaborate with community organizations in mission-focused programs.
