Town and YWCA Greenwich leaders rally against domestic violence

Greenwich Time, 9.September.2018: On Tuesday, First Selectman Peter Tesei declared October as Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month in Greenwich. Last year alone, YWCA Greenwich reported receiving more than 3,500 crisis calls. “This is a very serious public health issue in our community,” YWCA President and CEO Mary Lee Kiernan told the crowd of about 50 in front of Town Hall. “One in three women in the U.S. will experience some form of intimate partner violence in their lives.”
