Is your middle-school-aged child looking for a place to “hangout” after school? At YWCA Greenwich, we are proud to offer a variety of after-school programs in addition to our preschool education programs and health and fitness classes. Located at our facility in Greenwich, CT, the new “YW Hub” is designed to enrich the social, emotional, physical and character development of middle school students in a welcoming, safe environment.

Our after-school programs allow students to be with friends, share ideas, receive help with homework, and participate in extracurricular activities and sports. Students are given the freedom to choose and participate in activities they are interested in. If youth sport programs aren’t their thing, students can use that time to work in our new state-of-the-art STEAM Lab, finish their homework, or just catch up with friends socially in the hub area.

Our STEAM Lab also features more advanced components for older students that are designed to help prepare them for high school classes. YWCA Greenwich offers counselors who are specially trained to relate to this age group. They can help guide students and be an ear for those who want to talk about what to expect in high school.

The YW Hub offers students a wide range of choices for activities including:

  • Arts & Crafts
  • Athletics & Games such as soccer, kickball, badminton and more
  • Gymnastics & Swimming
  • Kickboxing & Spin Classes
  • Homework Help
  • Mentor Workshops
  • STEAM Lab
  • Volunteer Opportunities
