YWCA Greenwich announces new CFO

YWCA Greenwich, 23 January 2018: YWCA Greenwich announces John P. Stack will become the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
“We are excited to welcome John to YWCA Greenwich,” said Mary Lee Kiernan, YWCA Greenwich President and CEO. “He joins us with more than 30 years of experience as a financial leader for both for-profit and non-profit entities, as well as a deep knowledge of the Greenwich community and its institutions.”
Mr. Stack has extensive experience in financial management and operations and has built and managed financial teams for Loral Space & Communications, Lockheed Martin, and most recently, 1199SEIU Funds, where he was the Finance Director for this non-profit healthcare workers organization.  In that role, he was responsible for 25 separate Taft-Hartley trust funds and $2.5 billion in annual operations.  His responsibilities included overseeing accounting, treasury, financial planning and budgeting, public and private grants, and financial systems.
During his tenure at Loral Space & Communications, Mr. Stack held the position of Treasurer and was a member of the Corporate Management Team responsible for financial and operating reviews of all their business activities. He also performed a key role in Loral’s investment banking activities and oversaw their defined benefit and defined contributions programs.
“YWCA Greenwich was the first community organization my family joined when we moved to Greenwich in 1994,” said Mr. Stack, “and I’m thrilled to join an organization that has played a leading role in raising awareness and taking action in support of eliminating racism and empowering women and girls.”
Mr. Stack is a Certified Public Accounting and has an MBA in Finance from New York University.  He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Stack lives with his wife in Greenwich and has two grown children.
